Two vineyards at the foot of Marlborough's Wither Hills provide us with Gewürztraminer that has wonderful varietal expression. The Woodward vineyard and our own winey vineyard have always produced elegant, yet powerful Gewürztraminer, off dry in style with aromas of rose petal, musk and exotic spices. The plate is rich, round and is full with the flavours of lychee, citrus, fig and cardamon.

The Press - Zest - DELICATE AND PURE

Looking for something different? Try this, it is delicate, but not overly floral and is medium dry. Lychees, pears, grapefruit and peach flavour predominate. Served well chilled, the wine is crisp and pure. It would make a good match with subtle Asian dishes and fish. We tried it with salmon, feta and spinach pie.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

15% fermented in older French oak barriques, The nose is very fine and tightly concentrated with an amalgam of rose petals, exotic musk and ginger with mineral notes. Medium dry to taste, the flavours of rose petals, minerals and ginger are very tight and firmly bound, forming a concentrated core to the palate. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich, near unctuous in texture and the richness is enhanced by some alcohol warmth. the flavours carry through to a firm, concentrated and lingering finish with classical varietal elements. This is a concentrated and unctuous off-dry Gewürztraminer that will unfold more of its exotic flavours with bottle age.

One of the country's most impressive Gewürztraminers. A medium dry style, ripely perfumed, fleshy and soft with a slightly oily texture. Peachy, gingery and spicy flavours showing excellent varietal definition, harmony and richness.
