Lawson's Dry Hills Pinot Rosé 2010
|
Region |
Marlborough |
Tasting Notes |
As its beautiful pink hue suggests, this wine is bursting with red berry aromas. While the palate is elegant, crisp and dry with lovely length. Strawberry and cream flavours with background notes of cherry and citrus add to the complexity. With its crisp acidity, good concentration and a sliver of sweetness(just 5.4g/L), this wine has wonderful balance. |
Food Match |
Perfect with a light lunch of cold meats or a barbecue and summer salads. |
Winemaker |
Marcus Wright / Rebecca Wiffen. |
Winemakers Notes |
The grapes were harvested, crushed and held on skins to extract colour and berry flavours, for between twenty four and forty eight hours. The must was then pressed, settled and fermented at low temperatures with aromatic yeast to emphasise the bright fruit characters found in the grapes |
Viticulture Notes |
Sourced from our Chaytors Road vineyard, off ten year old clone 10/5 Pinot Noir vines. These vines were spur pruned to encourage small berries with intense colour and flavour. This vineyard was specially selected for the production of our Rosé, allowing us to pick the grapes relatively early in the season and retain the fruits natural acidity. |
Cellaring |
Drink whilst young and fresh, all you need is a sunny day. |
