Lawson’s Dry Hills Wines will integrate environmental objectives, as part of our operations, into all relevant business decisions to achieve best sustainable practice.
 
To enable us to achieve this we willSustainable Winegrowing / ISO 14001
  • Set annual goals and objectives relating to minimising our environmental impact and ensuring continual improvement towards best practice, specifically relating to resource use, waste management, pollution and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Comply with all statutory and non-statutory requirements applicable to our winemaking business in Marlborough, New Zealand. 
  • Maintain Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand accreditation of all our vineyards (both company and growers) and for our winery. 
  • Maintain ISO14001 accreditation for the company as a whole
  • Communicated our goals to all staff and make them available to the public.
  • This policy is supported and endorsed by the Lawson's Dry Hills management team.

  • What we take:   We will continually reduce and eliminate our dependence on mined metals, minerals and fossil fuels- extract less, reuse, recycle and use renewable resources.
  • What we make: Continually reduce and eliminate our use of manufactured non degradable chemicals and substances and use natural alternatives and recyclable materials.
  • What we destroy: Continually reduce and eliminate our dependence on activities that cause physical encroachment on the natural environment and draw resources from sustainably managed ecosystems, restore nature and protect biodiversity.
  • How we share: Ensure that people are treated fairly and with respect – look after people and share resources fairly.
