Winemakers Notes |
Our winemaking uses traditional Burgundian techniques of small batch fermentation,hand-plunging and maturation in French oak barrique(25% new).Following ten months of maturation, only the best barrel were selected to procude this wine. |
Viticulture Notes |
This wine was produced from grapes from two vineyard sites. The Barnsley vineyard located in Marlborough's Waihopai valley has a mixture of clay/stone soils that procudes a perfumed, elegant wine. The grapes from the clay slopes of the Brookby Ridge(Potez)vineyard that overlooks the Brancott valley produce a dark, dense wine with good tannic structure. |
