Lovely varietal notes of pear, quince and citrus combine on the nose, whilst the palate has fresh fruit and baked apple flavours. A creamy texture is enhanced by a sliver of sweetness, balanced by gentle acidity.

Winemakers Notes
The grapes were gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected aromatic yeast, this portion was also held on the yeast lees and stirred weekly to enhance the wines volume and texture. A small portion was also fermented in older French oak puncheons

This wine is a blend of grapes from two of our company vineyards, one in the Waihopai valley and the other, 30Kms to the east on Chaytors Road. Both produce ripe fruit flavours while retaining acidity,

Will cellar for two to three years.
