A beautiful summer and typically long, warm autumn allowed us to produce a very expressive and elegant Sauvignon Blanc in 2013. Bright passionfruit, grapefruit and tropical aromas are complemented by an array of citrus and tropical fruit characters on the palate. A portion of this wine was fermented in seasoned French oak barriques, which has added depth and texture to the wine. This wine has lovely balance and concentration, the finish has some fresh acidity and is long and clean.
This wine will develop in the bottle over the next three to four years taking on complex and rich se
Enjoy in moderation with baked white fish, shellfish, Greek goat cheese salad.

Vibrant, lifted and enticing are words to sum up the aroma. Gooseberry, freshly cut grass and melon notes set the scene. A lovely, fleshy wine with a blend of creamy and crisp notes. Concentrated, deeply flavoured with plenty of lime and tropicla notes. The integrated, full-bodied palate is textured with an overlay of apple/citrus notes from start to finish. Tomato leaf aromas add interest and soft minerality ensures the finish is refreshingly dry.A delightful wine, oozes class and just waiting to be enjoyed.

BEST VALUE....Fragrant with hints of mineral, dusty river stones, ripe fruits and herbs, this has all the fresh, mouth-filling intensity you expect from Marlborough. Finishes with a nicely balanced, crisp acidity. Although delicious now, it will probably be at its best in twelve months or so.
Sydney Morning Herald - Goodfood - 95/100
Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2013 95/100 - No this is not a token Kiwi! It is simply the most amazing bargain from Marlborough I've seen this year, and just happens to also be one of the best "straight" New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs I've tasted this year. It has an intense and charming lemongrass aroma, ripe and not sweaty or vegetal. The flavour is focused, concentrated and intense, energised by mouthwatering acidity, the finish is clean and properly dry. A far cry from your typical Marlborough savvy. Drink for six+years.
Cuisine Magazine (NZ) - FIVE STARS AND BEST BUY (December 2013)
A touch of barrel fermentation enriches and rounds out the texture. The vociferous, ripe-fruit presence, brimming with intense yellow plum and peach flavours makes a strong statement.
Falstaff Magazine - Austria
Sauvignon Blanc International (tasted by Peter Moser) Bright yellow green, a touch of pink grapefruit, under laid with fine yellow tropical fruits and fine leaved spices. Medium complexity, white fruit, fine acid structure. Already drinking well, offers uncomplicated drinking pleasure, showing good complexity and length.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews - FIVE STARS
This is an elegant and intensely concentrated, dry Sauvignon Blanc, with passionfruit flavours and a chalky, textural line. The wine carries the herb, flint and minerally flavours to a very long and sustained, firm finish.
Michael Cooper Buyers Guide 2014 - FOUR AND A HALF STARS
One of the regions best, widely available Sauvignon Blancs, this stylish wine is vibrant, intense and finely structured. Punchy and sweet-fruited, with ripely herbaceous, melon/capsicum flavours, a subtle oak influence adding complexity. A crisp, long finish.
