Bob Campbell MW - 92 points - 4 Stars
Scented Pinot Noir with rich dark-fleshed plums, black cherry and smoky oak flavours. A succulent wine with a good backbone of drying tannins that help a lengthy finish. Good now, better with a little bottle-age.

Richer, creamier and sweet than the regular label with a hint of toffee, guava, poached pear, anise and spice. A delicately luscious wine in an appealing style. Serve well chilled as a great aperitif or with moderately spicy dishes.
Decanter World Wine Awards - Silver medal

Weighty wine with greater concentration and complexity than the regular label. Passionfruit, struck match, mineral and green capsicum flavours, with a suggestion of cashew nut. An impressive wine with development potential.

Cuisine Magazine issue 180 - Five Stars and Top 10
Smokey intrigue greets the nostrils. Aline of flinty smokiness extends across the palate, providing focus and texture, harmonising with the white peach and greengage notes. This is a wine you would happily match with steamed Marlborough mussels.
Bob Campbell MW - 93 points
Rich and quite oaky Chardonnay with reasonably strong white peach, root ginger, grapefruit, bran biscuit and hazelnut flavours supported by tangy acidity. A weighty wine with the volume turned. Should develop well in the bottle.
Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide - Five stars
Cuisine March 2017 - issue 181 - FOUR AND A HALF STARS
Four and a half stars - Fruit from some of the oldest Gewürztraminer vines in the country contributes to this perennially fine version. Joyously floral and fragrant, it has attractive purity and zesty lift in the mouth. "A balanced wine oozing personality and charm" noted Cameron Douglas.

Bob Campbell MW - Four and half stars
Lawson's Dry Hills have produced one of Marlborough's top examples of Gewürztraminer for many years. It's an off-dry style, with masses of Turkish Delight, rose petal, lychee, pot-pourri varietal flavours and a suggestion of clove spice on the finish. Slightly prominent alcohol (3/11/2016)

Bob Campbell MW - Four stars - 90 points
Quite a dense, flavoursome Pinot Noir with plum, dark cherry and berry flavours plus a strong influence of toasty French oak. A tad closed right now but should become more accessible with bottle age. (26/7/2016)

This wineries Gewürztraminer consistently impresses. The conditions were there in 2013 to do so again and the team at Lawson's Dry Hills has delivered. Lychee and rosewater notes unfold gently on the palate - this medium-style wine has the poise, depth and structural ease that come with old vine fruit.

Pure and clean, perfumed rose petals, exotic fruits. off-dry, round, creamy mid-palate and a spicy finish.
Bob Campbell MW - Five stars - 95 points
Pale gold, chicken stock, flint, touch of smoke and musk on the nose. Quite recital and interesting on the palate, minerally with a nutty, meal dimension. Perhaps a bit oak dominant, that being said it has acidity to counteract the richness. (12/2/2015)
