Lawson's Dry Hills Gewürztraminer 2010
Winemaker: Marcus Wright / Rebecca Wiffen.
Alcohol: 14% pH: 3.68 RS: 9.6
TA: 4.5 Brix: 23.9 - 24.6
The grapes for this wine are sourced from our Home block around the Lawson's Dry Hills winery and from the nearby Woodward vineyard. The 2010 season was ideal, producing small intensely flavoured grapes. Wonderfully lifted aromas of musk, lemon blossom, rose and tropical fruits are complimented by a rich round palate with great intensity and fine balance. Our Gewürztraminer ages well and this wine will continue to develop increased complexity over the next five years and beyond.
Cellaring
Fantastic whilst young, this wine will reward patient cellaring for up to ten years.
Food Match
Spicy Asian influenced dishes, rich paté or cheese.

Otago Daily Times
A classic Marlborough Gewürztraminer, big, mouth-filling, oozing rose petals, ginger and citrus. With a rich, oily texture and firm, fresh, dry finish with a lingering aftertaste of Turkish delight.

John Ingle
An intense lychee flavour with typical Alsatian profile of sweet and sour through the palate. Full fruit intensity is about the only aspect that defines it as New Zealand instead of Alsace. A very strong nose of orange and mandarin which follows through to subtle rose petal, which then lingers. Beautiful example - loved it.
Winestate Magazine
Highly perfumed and weighty, gently sweet style with rich, ripe, gingery, spicy flavours. Showing excellent depth and harmony - maturing very gracefully.
