This wine is made from Riesling grapes grown in the Waihopai Valley, that slowly developed botrytis during April and early May 2010. The result was a small, but intensely flavoured crop that was harvested at high sugar levels. The nose possesses apricot and stone fruit aromas, whilst the the palate is a luscious mix of dried apricot, fig, candied orange and honey flavours. the residual sugar of 135g/L is balanced by a crisp acidity and concentrated flavours giving the wine a long clean finish.

This wine will increase in complexity for the next five years and probably longer.
