A great vintage and a superb vineyard site for Sauvignon Blanc have allowed us to craft this wine. Produced from the Fryers Road vineyard in Marlborough's lower Wairau Valley, in a year when low crop levels were the norm. This wine displays an amazing array of lifted tropical and fresh herbal aromas, the plate has wonderful intensity and weight.
This wine will continue to develop over the next two to three years.
White fish and shellfish, strong cheeses and white meats.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
This wine has a very powerful and tightly concentrated nose of pungent passionfruit along with lifted, ripe tropicla fruit aromas and fine, cutting mineral notes. Dry to taste, densely packed with flavours passionfruit , fresh herbs and limes forming a concentrated core with a very refined palate. Very smooth and near seamless in texture, the acidity harmomiously underlines the flavours. This has an elegance which carries through to the finish, that is very long and lingering showing lush passionfruit and mineral elements. This is a concentrated and fine textured Sauvignon Blanc packed with passionfruit flavours.
Fresh and lively with crisp, vibrant melon/lime flavours. Showing very good depth (grown in the lower Wairau Valley and handled without oak).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED-Gooseberry, passion fruit and boxwood waft from the glass, with a touch of freshly cut grass. Fresh and lively with flinty, minerality and a citrus and asparagus palate. This wine has great balance and a long textured finish.
The Marlborough Express
Very aromatic with crisp gooseberry and ripe tropical aromas, supported by tomato leaf and savoury notes. Quite enticing and "classic Marlborough". Intensely flavoured, yet smooth with currant and ginger spice notes to the fore. Crisp citrus acids and some attractive steely notes meld with the juicier, richer and ripe fruit flavours. A wine with length and depth of flavour with a crisp citrus finish. It's easy to see why this generous wine won the New Zealand White wine Trophy, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Trophy, and the International Sauvignon Blanc Trophy at the International Wine Challenge 2013 (U.K.)
MY TOP THREE - Lawson's Dry Hills Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2012 - Pungent and concentrated with aromas of citrus, passion fruit and capsicum. Good weight and texture with a flinty aroma and a fresh acidity. A succulent clean finish.
