TOP IN CATEGORY - Winestate, Wine of the Year Awards - September 2008. Rush of limes on the nose, with lovely toasty aged characters. Great flavours - all honeyed and toasty.

Lawson's Dry Hills is currently selling this terrific wine from a vintage that was better than either 2008 or 2009 - and it is showing the benefit of bottle age. I would expect to pay a premium for such a wine; at $19.00 its about the best value wine in the country!. Bottle aged med/dry Riesling with nice toasty complexity beginning to dominate the citrus characters. The texture is also showing the benefit of cellaring as the acidity mellows. A good advertisement for the virtus of aged Riesling.

BEST BUY -"A great example of what age can do for a Riesling" noted Jane Boyle. It's an inviting comfortable wine - fresh lime and white pepper balancing the toast and honey the years have bestowed, all nicely wrapped in a papery texture. A good wine to have on hand for a visiting Riesling lover.
