From a magical vintage our 2012 Sauvignon Blanc has intense citrus and passionfruit aromas that are complemented by a rich array of flavours, from citrus and tropical fruits through to appealing herbal notes. A portion of this wine was fermented in aged French oak barriqes, which adds depth and texture to the palate. As always, the hallmark of our Sauvignon Blanc is complexity, concentration and a long fresh finish.

This wine will develop well in the bottle over the next three to four years to become even more comp

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

This wine has very concentrated, intensely packed and penetrating aromas of mineral-infused passionfruit, tropical fruits and savoury pungent gooseberries. Dry and very refined with racy, slippery acidity with a very fine-textured mouthfeel. The flavours are attractively lifted by white florals, herbal notes and esters on the lond lingering finish.

TOP WINE OF THE TASTING - "nicely fresh and vibrant" Youthful aromas of ripe fruit and herbs on the nose; some pineapple too. In the mouth this is nicely fresh and vibrant with flavours of ripe lemon, yellow capsicum, passionfruit and pineapple. A reasonably dry wine with good concentration of flavours, this should develop nicely, becoming more complex with time.

Otago Daily Times

GOOD VALUE - Everything you want from a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, citrus flower fragrance, intense mouth-filling flavours, a bright lively finish and lingering fruit on the aftertaste.

Winestate Magazine

Weighty, sweet-fruited wine with very good depth of fresh passionfruit/lime flavours. Finely textured and long (7% barrel fermented). Enjoyed by all judges.

NZ Herald

Favourite grape - Another great vintage of this classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with intense and elegant notes of blackcurrant leaf, crunchy lime, dill and oyster shell.

Wine Orbit

91 POINTS - This is beautifully youthful and aromatic on the nose, displaying feijoa, white peach, lime zest and capsicum characters (bellpepper). The palate is concentrated and focused with a fine texture and excellent mid palate weight, leading to a lengthy juicy finish.

Wine Spectator

88 POINTS - Lean and juicy, with peach, white flower, melon and Meyer lemon notes. Accompanied by details of candied lemon peel. Show good focus and fresh acidity, featuring hints of citrus and pith on the finish.
