The International Wine Challenge 2013 and the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013 results have both been published this past week and Lawson's Dry Hills are featured prominently.

At the International Wine Challenge, which celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the wines that shone were the Lawson's Dry Hills Reserve Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012, the Lawson's Dry Hills Chardonnay 2009 - both awarded GOLD MEDALS.

The Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012 and the Lawson's Dry Hills The Pioneer Pinot Noir 2010 were both awarded SILVER MEDALS. The company was also awarded three BRONZE MEDALS and FIVE COMMENDED - every wine that we entered into the competition winning an accolade.......We now eagerly await the TROPHIES announcement.

At the Decanter World Wine Awards, Lawson's Dry Hills has walked away with two TROPHIES, two GOLD MEDALS, two SILVER MEDALS, two BRONZE and three COMMENDED.......

The wines that took top honours, with both TROPHIES and GOLD MEDALS were the Lawson's Dry Hills Pinot Rosé 2012 in the under £15 category (New Zealand wine) and our very successful second label, the Mount Vernon Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012 also in the under £15 category (New Zealand wine).

SILVER MEDALS were awarded to our highly regarded Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Pinot Noir 2011 and the Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Chardonnay 2009.

These results show great consistency from Lawson's Dry Hills. They follow on from the hugely successful Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2012; with all the wines the company entered winning awards. This bodes well for the company as we are currently re-building our distribution in the United Kingdom and establishing new markets in Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France and the Netherland.

Barbara Lawson comments" It's great that our vineyards are producing outstanding fruit and that the vineyard and winemaking staff are all working together to produce wines that have proven to be world beaters on so many's so satisfying and rewarding for our small team here at Lawson's Dry Hills".
