Gewürztraminer is said to have originated from around the town of Tramin in the foothills of the Dolomite mountains in Italy. More recently the Alsace region of eastern France has flown the flag for this beautiful variety. A mix of good fortune and astuteness led Ross and Barbara Lawson, to plant this variety in the early eighties on the sheep paddock that would become our Home block vineyard, where as this wine shows, the variety has thrived.
Up to eight years.
Soft cow's milk cheese and pear, mild curries, shrimp and crab dishes.
